So, I would love to give you all fancy pinterest looking recipes to get inspired for the change of the season, and special things for the holidays and what not.  However the reality of life is sometimes that dammit, I don’t even have enough time to wash my clothes, really.  It’s far more easy to just buy underwear on Amazon prime than to do a load of laundry, lets be honest.

I present to you some super easy things to keep in your fridge/pantry that allow you to whip up some pretty decent tasting and relatively healthy dinners when you need to.

Asparagus:  It really lasts a decent amount of time in the crisper of the fridge without going bad, probably at least a week maybe a week and a half.  Throw it in the over with a little oil and salt for about 12 minutes, turning it in between.

Lightly Breaded Frozen Chicken:  It literally doesn’t go bad in the freezer, and it’s only slightly breaded so it’s not all that terrible for you.  Three strips along with that asparagus and you have almost a complete meal.

Sweet Potato Fries:  Buy a bag of these and keep them in the freezer.  They’re a great side as long as you don’t go overboard with serving sizes.

Eggs:  It takes a long time for them to go bad, and you can put any leftover veggies in them with some cheese and make an omelette.  Or you can boil them and make hard boiled eggs.  Easy peasy.

Peanut Butter:  It’s pretty much a complete meal if you don’t go totally overboard and eat the whole jar.

Cream Cheese: Literally never goes bad, you can mix it with spaghetti sauce or melt it over veggies and it makes everything taste better, guaranteed.

English Muffins:  Okay so these don’t last forever, but they are a great transfer food for the peanut butter and cream cheese mentioned above.  If you want to get a little fancy and grab an avocado, you’re practically eating like a celebrity.

Mayonnaise:  The dip for pretty much everything.

Shiritaki Noodles:  Ummm basically zero calories?  Yes please!  Cut up some asparagus, maybe a zucchini or red pepper and mix these noodles with a little spaghetti sauce and that amazing cream cheese and it’s basically a gourmet meal. Make sure to drain them real well otherwise they can be a bit soggy.

Yogurt:  Noosa yogurt is super delicious and good for you, and also…takes about a month to go bad.

Zucchini and Red pepper:  Takes quite a while to go bad and doesn’t make a huge mess to chop it up.

Snap Peas:  Boom.  These things stay crispy for quite a long time.  They’re chocked full of fiber and other nutrients and they’re a perfect transfer food for hummus, which also never goes bad.

Hummus:  Buy a container of this and you’re good for at least a week, maybe more.  Also can double as a dip for your sweet potato fries or lightly breaded chicken!

Shrimp Ring:  These things are so delicious they never really last that long, but they require zero prep and they’re super healthy!

Spaghetti Sauce:  Hello, non perishable food item!  Always have some on hand to mix with your shiritaki noodles and random veggies.

Yasso Ice Cream Treats:  These things are absolutely delicious and since they’re frozen, yep they last forever!  Yay!

There you have it, my sixteen ingredient shopping list that is relatively healthy and guaranteed to be easy and pretty darn satisfying, too.
